Hongkong#3: City Life Vs Country Life

Calm life in the New Territories where my daughter lives is completely different from the busy activities in the central city of Hongkong.

The New Territories is currently understood as “kinh tế mới” island like in Vietnam but with tall, modern buildings…

I had a chance to experience the drastic difference this afternoon in a trip to Victoria.

The name Victoria has been eclipsed by Central in popular usage. However, the name is still used in places such as Victoria Park, Victoria Peak, Victoria Harbour, Victoria Prison, and a number of roads and streets.

In fact, Victoria is a populated area with various means of transportation, most of them (taxi, bus, train, tram, MTR…) for people.

We also had a chance to taste “real Chinese food” like Dim Sum in a crowded but famous restaurant in Victoria. Just like in Chợ Lớn but more delicious and tasty.
